The Murray State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 Ohio Valley Conference match Friday at Eastern Kentucky at the Greg Adams Indoor Tennis Center in Richmond, Ky.

The Racers (10-10, 5-3 OVC) lost all three doubles matches as Cassidy Cunitz and Ashley Canty were downed by EKU's Kristina Labeja and Melissa Gerritsen by an 8-6 score, while Carla Suga and Carolyn Huerth lost by the same score to Saioa Oscoz and Milena Poffo. MSU's Ashley Pierson and Jordana Klein lost 8-7 to Amandine Faouzi and Marcela Jimenez and in the tie-breaker 7-4.

Klein and Suga scored MSU's only two wins in singles action from the third and fourth spots in the lineup. Klein was a 6-1, 6-0 winner of Oscoz, while Suga took care of Gerritsen 6-4, 2-6 and 10-6 in the tie-breaker.

The Racers will look to finish their regular season on a winning note Saturday when they play at Morehead State at 10 a.m. CT.
