Racers Host Two-Weekend Withrow Open

The ninth-ranked Murray State rifle team returns to the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range for the first weekend of the Withrow Open.
The Withrow Open is a two weekend event with multiple teams competing both weeks. The first weekend of competition will feature the Racers, Jacksonville State, UT Martin and Akron. The second weekend, on Jan. 26-27, Nebraska, Memphis, Ohio State, UT Martin, Columbus State, UTEP and Alabama Birmingham will come to Murray.
The two weeks of the Withrow Open will be the Racers' final competition before the OVC Championships on February 2 are hosted by Morehead State.
The Racers are just over a week removed from their best performance of the season when they shot an aggregate team score of 4655 against Alaska Fairbanks.
