Racer Fan Jam Brings In the Basketball Season

Murray State Basketball fans are invited to attend Racer Fan Jam, Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky.
An annual event, Racer Fan Jam gives fans of all ages a first look at the Racer men's and women's basketball teams.
Doors to the CFSB Center open at 6 p.m. and admission is free.
MSU's Spirit Groups, the Racer Band, and Dunker will perform and fans can purchase season tickets during the evening.
Racer Fan Jam features introductions of both teams and a scrimmage by both teams. Fans will also be able to get autographs from the Racer student-athletes.
The MSU promotions team will be present taking signups for the Stampede, the official student cheering group. The membership cost is $10 and only cash will be accepted. Students can join the Stampede online at goracers.com.
Children age 12 and under will also have the chance to join the Junior Racers club. Membership is $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in the household.
Local businesses will be on hand with giveaways and one lucky member of the Racer Club will walk away with hotel accommodations and tickets to the OVC Tournament in March. The person drawn must be present to win.
The MSU teams play exhibition games at the CFSB Center to get the season going. The Men's team hosts Freed-Hardeman (Nov. 2) at 7 p.m., and the women's team has its exhibition contest with Berea (Nov. 3) at 4 p.m.
