A 57th-minute goal by Jade Flory proved to be all the offense Morehead State needed Sunday, as the Murray State women's soccer team fell in Morehead, 1-0.
The shot count was fairly even in the first half, with Morehead State (6-9-1, 5-2 OVC) leading by a 10-7 margin. However, in the second half, while the Eagles again produced 10 shots, they limited the Racers (4-10-1, 1-7 OVC) to just one.
The game-winner came in the early part of the second half when Flory broke away and fired one past MSU goalkeeper Savannah Haberman from 15-yards out, for the eventual win. The goal was her 10th of the season and came as one of her match-high six shots on the day.
Halle Pinkham and Lauren Frazier each put a shot on target in the match, while Shauna Wicker led the Racers in overall shots with three. Haberman ended the day by saving seven of eight shots, to give her 80 on the year.
The Racers will close out a three-match road swing Friday with their final away match of the season at Jacksonville State. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
