Racers End Fall Season at Blue Raider Invite

RESULTS

The Murray State University women's golf team competed in the Blue Raider Invitational at the Old Fort Golf Course in Murfreesboro, Tenn. At the end of the tournament the Racers finished in eighth place in the field of 15 with scores of 302-309-305=916.

Senior Delaney Howson finished in eighth place to lead the Racers after shooting rounds of 72-77-75=224. Sydney Trimble fired rounds of 74-76-77=227 for a 21st place finish. Minta Yin had scores of 82-79-74=235 for a 45th place finish to tie with fellow freshman Jackie Van Meter who carded rounds of 76-77-82=235. Gina Nuzzo rounded out the field in 71st place with scores of 80-86-79=245.

In individual play, Sophie Hiller shot rounds of 81-81-82=244 to end the day tied for 67th place.

Southern Illinois led the field of 15 teams, which included five OVC schools, with scores of 298-295-304=897. Middle Tennessee came in second with a score of 898 while Lamar University finished close behind with 902.

Other team scores include Morehead State (904), Jacksonville (907), South Alabama (907), Troy (911), Tennessee Tech (917), Arkansas State (922), UALR (930), Belmont (931), UMKC (941), Texas El Paso (946) and Austin Peay (956).

The Old Fort Golf Course played to a par of 72 and 6,177 yards.

The Blue Raider Invite closes out the fall season for the Racers until the MSU Invitational (March 3-4) at Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Ky.
