Racers Set to Host Time Warner Classic

The tournament which was scheduled for next week, has been moved to Saturday and Sunday (March1-2) due to the possibility of bad weather.
The event will play two rounds (36 holes) on Saturday with the tournament concluding with the final round on Sunday.
This year marks the 11th year of the Time Warner Racer Classic and MSU looks to repeat their success from last year. Delaney Howson took the medalist honor in 2013 with a 72 to help Murray State take home the win. Howson became the seventh Racer to win the event that was shortened to one round because of weather.
Other teams competing at the Racer Classic this weekend include: Butler, Tennessee State, Lipscomb, Southern Illinois, IPFW and Indianapolis.
The tournament format will be a shotgun start on both mornings at 8:30 a.m.
Miller Memorial Golf Course plays to a par of 72 and 6,017 yards.
Miller Memorial will be open for play Friday at 9 a.m. The course will be closed to gerneral play on Saturday and until noon on Sunday. Murray Country Club is offering to honor Miller Memorial members with a $15 cart fee this weekend.Â
