The Breds close out the 2013 season as they welcome Eastern Kentucky to Reagan Field for a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series May 16-18. The series will get underway at 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and conclude at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Breds and Colonels have met 107 times prior on the diamond with EKU holding a 57-50 advantage in the series. The Colonels have won each of the last six meetings, after the Breds had won five of the previous six. EKU swept the series at Reagan Field in 2012.

Weekend Weather
The weather will improve as the weekend goes on as temperatures will begin in the upper 70s and be in the mid-80s by the end of the weekend. There is a 30% chance of rain on Thursday and Friday.

The series between the two teams has been streaky of late. The Colonels have won six straight, after the Breds had won eight of the previous 10 meetings. MSU is just 19-24 in games played in Murray.
Seniors Honored
This weekend will be the final games in a Breds uniform for nine seniors. Taking the field for the last time will be Brandon Elliott, Alex Gordon, Will Handlin, Mike Kozlowski, Joe Major, Paul Ritzheimer, Tim Vonder Haar, Dylan Wheeler and Noah Zipko.

Ty Stetson was a ball magnet in the middle game against SEMO as he was hit by a pitch three times in the game. He became the third player since 2000 to be hit by a pitch three times in a game, joining Kyle Tiernan (2009) and Woody Winchester (2000).
Elliott Joins 200 Hit Club
Third baseman Brandon Elliott joined an elite group last weekend as he became the 11th member of the 200-Hit Club. He joined the club with a bunt single in the series opener against Southeast Missouri. He currently stands in 10th place on the all-time list with 202 hits.
Stetson Walks Way Into Record Book
Ty Stetson became just the fourth player in school history to draw 100 walks in his career. He has walked 104 times and trails Tom Fehn (109) for third place on the list.
Elliott Gets on the Hard Way
Brandon Elliott has moved into second place on the all-time list for hit by pitch. He has been hit by eight pitches this season to raise his career total to 36. Elliot Frey is the all-time leader at 51.
