Cisneros Named OVC Runner of the Week

Murray State cross-country enjoyed a successful week at the Saluki Invitational and the OVC took notice. As voted upon by the Ohio Valley Conference, Cole Cisneros was named the Runner of the Week for his performance in Carbondale, Ill. He is the first Racer to win Runner of the Week since Katelyn Jones in 2010 and the first on the men's side since Jeremy Burkeen in 2003.

Cisneros led the Racers to a third place finish at the Saluki Invitational, finishing 15^th overall (13^th scorer). He completed the 8K course in 27:02.90, an average pace of 5:26 per mile.

The Racers will be back on the course Oct. 5 at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.
