The Murray State Racers pushed their win streak to eight Tuesday with a 76-39 win over the Alabama A&M Bulldogs at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky.
The Racers moved to 10-4 after their final game of 2014 and the final game of non-conference before MSU opens Ohio Valley Conference games Saturday at Morehead State.
Jarvis Williams led the Racers with a game-high 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting and he was only a rebound from a double-double. Jeffery Moss and T.J. Sapp combined to hit seven threes for the Racers as each pumped in 14 points. Justin Seymour added 10 points and a career-high five rebounds off the bench and Cameron Payne had eight assists. Kedrick Flomo set his career mark with six assists.
It didn't take the Racers long to get control of the game when they jumped on top of AAM with three-straight 3-pointers with two coming from Sapp and one from Moss for a 22-5 lead at the 12:31 mark of the half. MSU pushed in front 39-11 at the 3:18 mark on a dunk from Williams.
MSU had the upper hand at intermission 43-17.
The Racers hit 16-of-31 from the field in the first half and held AAM 6-of-26.
The Bulldogs got no closer than 26 in the second half and MSU led 70-33 with 6:26 left.
Game Notes
The Racers have won eight straight since a loss Thanksgiving weekend in Nashville to Valparaiso on Nov. 29. MSU was 2-4 and have gone 8-0.
MSU's home win streak in the CFSB Center is six after dropping the season opener (Nov. 14) to Houston. MSU is now 202-34 all-time in 17 seasons in the CFSB Center and 85-12 against non-OVC opponents.
The Racers now have a streak of seven games in which they've shot no worse than 50 percent from the field.
MSU has made 76 three-pointers in the eight-game win streak (76-152) to shoot a percentage .500.
MSU is 18-0 all-time against teams from the SWAC.

Overall, MSU is 48-18 (.718) all-time in OVC openers and have won six straight since the last loss in the 2007-08 season at home to Eastern Kentucky. MSU is 20-13 (.606) all-time in road games and have won seven straight since the last loss at Tennessee Tech in the 1995-96 season. Since 1997, the Racers are 17-1 in OVC openers.
