Racers rout Team France, five finish in double figures

PARIS – The Murray State men's basketball team continued its European tour with a 110-72 victory over Team France on Monday afternoon, shooting 49 percent overall with five Racers in double figures.

The contest was the penultimate game of Murray State's European trip, with the Racers set to take on Poissy here in Paris on Tuesday afternoon (12 p.m. local, 5 a.m. CT) before trekking back to the United States on Wednesday.
Monday, the Racers jumped ahead and never looked back, outscoring Team France 27-5 in the opening quarter and holding the hosts to a 1-of-10 shooting mark in that 10-minute segment. Murray State led 62-25 at the half and coasted to the 38-point win as it finished the afternoon shooting 49 percent overall and hit 14 three-pointers for a 36 percent rate from beyond the arc.
The Racers saw 10 different players score as they passed out 25 assists and forced Team France into 28 turnovers. Seven different players had multiple steals as Murray State tallied 19 total swipes while only turning the ball over 12 times as a group in the win.
Roman Domon finished with a game-best 24 points on 53 percent shooting, adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals, while fellow Frenchman Mathis Courbon turned in 15 points with three three-pointers, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kaden Magwood tallied 18 points with four three-pointers of his own, with Ben Schtolzberg and Christian Jones chipping in 14 and 13 points, respectively, to round out the double-digit scorers.
