Alyssa Lelm Selected to Preseason All-OVC Team

Junior Alyssa Lelm of Mackinaw, Illinois was selected to the 2014 Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Team.
Lelm was one of 14 student-athletes chosen for the team by the OVC's head volleyball coaches and sports information directors.
Lelm played and started all 30 matches for Murray State last season. She led the Racers in kills (373), attack percentage (.334) and blocks (79). Her combined kills and points (430) were the most by a Racer since 2010 and she finished with the highest season attack percentage since 2008. She finished in the top-10 in the OVC in kills, attack percentage and points. Â She had four 20-kill matches, including a season-high 23 against Davidson (9/20/13). She also recorded double-digit kills in 23 of 30 matches, while also registering two double-doubles. Her 12 total blocks at Eastern Kentucky (11/16/13) was the most total blocks in a four set match in Racer history.
The Racers are now in fall camp and open the season at the ISTAP Collegiate Cup (Aug. 29-30) in Montgomery, Ala. Murray State will face Southern, South Carolina State and Alabama State.
