Bedard Earns Weekly OVC Honors

For the first time this season, Murray State's Sam Bedard has been named Ohio Valley Conference Setter of the Week.
Voting for the OVC awards is by the league's sports information directors.
The Racers played three matches last week, getting the Liberty Invite Crown as they went 3-0. They defeated Liberty (3-1), USC Upstate (3-0), and Howard (3-0).Â
Bedard, a junior from Beese, Ill. recorded 112 assists. She recorded two double-doubles during the weekend tournament. The first against Liberty where she had 48 assists and 17 digs, and the second against USC Upstate where she had 32 assists, and 15 digs. She recorded 1.10 kills per set during the 10 sets played. Bedard leads the team in assists with 214 as well as service aces with nine.
MSU will travel to the Chattanooga Classic this weekend where they will face Mississippi Valley, Wright State, and Chattanooga.Â
