Racer Mania Kicks Off Basketball Season

Fans of all ages got their first look at the 2015-16 Murray State men's and women's basketball teams Thursday night inside the CFSB Center at Racer Mania. Fans were treated to player introductions, a dance-off, a scrimmage from both squads, a 3-point and dunk contest and plenty of games and giveaways.
At the end of the night's festivities, fans were able to get their hands on the new schedule posters and get them signed by both teams, as well as take pictures with all of the coaches and student-athletes.
Both the men and the women open the season in three short weeks at "The Bank" Nov. 13 as the women will face Oakland City at 5 p.m., with the men facing Harris Stowe at 7 p.m. later that evening. Before that, the men will first host an exhibition against Freed-Hardeman Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
