Rifle Holds Steady At Fourth In Latest Rankings

After dropping from a tie for first to fourth a week ago, the Murray State rifle team used a strong weekend to hold strong at fourth in the latest Top 20 released by the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association on Monday.
On Saturday, the Racers finished third in a field that included five of the top seven teams in the nation this past weekend, with a score of 4692, at Akron's rehearsal match for this year's NCAA Championship. The score allowed the Racers to stay put in a top five that saw three of the top five teams drop at least one spot, while Kentucky ascended to No. 1 for the first time this season.
Up next for Murray State is the final match of the 2015 portion of its schedule on Nov. 21 when it travels to Jacksonville State's Gamecock Open.
