Murray State shot 50 percent from the floor and outscored Alabama A&M 41-32 in the second half on its way to a 76-59 road victory Sunday afternoon in Huntsville as the Racers improve to 2-0 on the young season.
Ke'Shunan James was just two points off her career high as she scored 29 points on 10-of-20 shooting from the floor. James also added seven rebounds and three steals in the win. James has now scored in double figures in her last nine games dating back to last season and has eight 20-plus point contests for her career.

The Racers got off to a bit of a slow start Sunday as they trailed by as many as five points in the opening quarter and went into the second quarter down 17-15. Trailing in the second 20-15, the Racers began to hit their stride offensively, outscoring the Lady Bulldogs (0-2) 20-7 the final 9:28 of the half and took a 35-27 lead into the break.
In the second half, MSU built its lead up to 10 at 39-29 with 6:57 to go in the quarter before Jasmine Borders went on her own personal 9-2 run, hitting three consecutive 3-pointers to push the Racer lead to 17 points.
The Racers controlled much of the rest of the game, leading by as many as 19 points (64-45) with just over eight minutes left to play. AAMU cut the deficit to 13 before back-to-back steals and fastbreak lay-ins by Bria Bethea and James clinched the victory.
Bethea chipped in with 11 points off the bench for MSU (2-0). The Lady Bulldogs bench outscored MSU's 32-17 on the day. However, the Racers got a 36-16 edge in points in the paint, 16-8 advantage on second-chance points and scored 17 fast break points to Alabama A&M's eight.
