Despite Being Idle, Rifle Moves To Third In Rankings

Despite having last week off, the Murray State rifle team moved from fourth to third in the latest Top 20 Rankings released by the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association late Monday.
The move was caused by Kentucky falling from first to sixth, allowing everyone to move up at least one spot. West Virginia actually moved up two spots, leapfrogging TCU, to ascend from third back to first after a one week absence at the top.
The Racers will return to action this weekend at the Gamecock Open hosted by Jacksonville State in their last event of the 2015 portion of their schedule. After the holidays, MSU will begin its final push for the NCAA Championships when they travel to Oxford, Mississippi for a tri-match with Ole Miss and Jax State on Jan. 16.
