This Week
Murray State and Dayton will meet for the first time this weekend down in Emerson, Ga., for a three-game series. Both teams will be making the trip down to the Perfect Game Complex in as many weeks. The Racers went 1-2 against IPFW last weekend while the Flyers lost two-of-three to Morehead State.
Last Game
The Racers are coming off a 3-2 victory over Southern Illinois in 11 innings on Wednesday. Kipp Moore delivered a sacrifice fly RBI for the game-winner against the Salukis, scoring Tyler Lawrence. Lawrence led off the 11th with a triple. Tyler Anderson recorded his first career win in the game, pitching 2.2 scoreless and hitless innings while striking-out a career-high four batters.
Scouting the Flyers
The Flyers have lost their last two contests coming into the weekend. UD is led by Glenn Jones who is hitting .300 on the season. Zach Schira and AJ Ryan are hitting .292 and .280, respectivley on the year and have started all six games this season for the Flyers. Schira, Ryan and Cale Dineen all lead the team with four RBIs each. The Flyers have 13 extra-base hits this season and are led by Ryan who has a double and two home runs.
 The Dayton pitching staff is led by Eric Ashbrook out of the bullpen who has a 2.25 ERA in four innings pitched over three appearances in 2015. Sam Brunner has a 2.84 ERA and is second on the team with 6.1 innings logged. Starter Bradley Horn leads the team with 12 strikeouts on the year. Dayton is led by 16th-year Head Coach Tony Vittorio.
