The Murray State women's tennis team took their first road conference victory when they defeated SIU Edwardsville 5-2 in Edwardsville, Illinois.

The Racers started the match by taking the doubles points with wins by Eleonore Tchakarova and Verginie Tchakarova 8-3 over Mia Frogner and Monique Krutak on court one just before Nancy Karaky and Alena Vasileva won 8-4 over Haley Ilcewicz and Kali Donner. Andrea Eskauriatza and Erin Patton fell on their court 5-8 to Lexi Aranda and Sierra Halverson, but MSU had already clinched the doubles point.

Karaky fell quickly against Krutak on court three 6-1, 6-2, but E. Tchakarova would not let the Cougars gain an advantage. E. Tchakarova defeated Frogner 6-4, 7-5 on court two. Eskauriatza and Aranda had a hard fought battle on court one, but Aranda won by forfeit 5-7, 7-5, 2-1 sets. V. Tchakarova got the Racers back on track with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Sierra Halverson. Blue and Patton added two more points which gave the Racers the conference win.
