Women's Tennis Travels to SIUE & EIU

Murray State women's tennis team will begin a road trip to face SIU Edwardsville on Friday at noon and Eastern Illinois on Saturday. The three teams sit atop the conference standings and all hope to take a big conference win and gain an advantage over the other.
Murray State has swept both Southeast Missouri and Austin Peay in the first week of conference play. The Racers are looking to continue their winning ways and remain a force to be reckoned with in the Ohio Valley Conference.
SIU Edwardsville has started the season 2-0 in conference play with a 4-0 and then 6-0 sweep over Belmont and Tennessee State. The Cougars also have a two-match win streak going into the game on Saturday. Lexi Aranda was named OVC female athlete of the week for her efforts in the conference sweeps.
Eastern Illinois has started 1-0 with a 5-0 sweet of Tennessee State. They face Austin Peay on Friday in Charleston, Illinois. The Panthers have a four-match winning streak going into the match against the Lady Govs.Â
