Eskauriatza Earns Weekly OVC Honor

For the first time this season, Andrea Eskauriatza was name the Adidas OVC Female Tennis Athlete of the Week. Eskauriatza was a two-time OVC Player of the Week during the 2014 season.

Eskauriatza went 3-0 against OVC opponents in No. 1 singles last week. She also teamed up with Erin Patton to go 1-0 at No. 2 doubles, the other two matches the Racers clinched the doubles points before they could finish. Eskauriatz handed UT Martin's Hitomi Naito her first career OVC loss as she defeated her, 7-5, 1-6, 6-2. She also picked up wins over Eastern Kentucky's Amandine Faouzi (7-5, 4-6, 10-7) and Morehead State's Andrea LeBlanc (7-5, 6-2).

The Racers are set to face Tennessee State on Fri. at 10 a.m. in Nashville, Tennessee.Â
