The Murray State women's soccer team defeated the Arkansas State Red Wolves in Jonesboro, Ark., Sunday 3-2 on an 80th minute goal by Harriet Withers.

The Racer win at the Coleman Sports & Recreation Complex, allowed the Racers to split their weekend road trip and improve to 2-1. ASU fell to 1-3.
Â

Â
ASU broke a scoreless tie in the 35th minute on a goal by Jacqueline Greer.Â
Â
Arkansas State's lead wouldn't hold for long. In the 37th minute, ASU'S Briana Williams tripped Destiny White while they were fighting for the ball in the penalty area. A penalty kick was awarded to the Racers and Racheal Foxley made her the first of her Murray State career. Foxley kicked a hard ball out of reach of freshman goalie Kelsey Ponder.Â
Â
Coming out of the half, head coach Jeremy Groves made a change at goal keeper. Shelby Haworth was lifted for Alex Steigerwald. The freshman was put to work quickly in her collegiate debut as she made a save in the 46th minute.Â
Â
The Racers took a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute when Marissa Burroughs gathered her own deflected shot and fed Destiny White for the score.Â
Â
The Red Wolves tied the game at 2-2 three minutes later on a header by Ava Abner.
