Bedard Named OVC Setter of the Week

For the second time in 2015, Murray State's Sam Bedard has been named the ADIDAS OVC Setter of the Week for her performance over the weekend in Racer volleyball's three victories at the Indiana State Sycamore Holiday Inn Classic.
Bedard, who was named to the all-tournament team at the classic, averaged 10.1 assists per set. Bedard dished-out over 40 assists against both Eastern Michigan and Indiana State. She had a season-high 49 assists in the Racers' 3-2 win over EMU, while her 13.7 assists per set in MSU's sweep over ISU was also a season-best.
Bedard also led the Racers by averaging 4.36 digs per set and had a double-double in all three matches. She also added nine kills, four service aces and a solo block for MSU.
Bedard and the rest of the Racers finish their non-conference slate this weekend as they travel to Rock Hill, S.C., for the Winthrop Invitational.Â
