Bedard Named OVC Setter of the Week For 3rd Time

For the second consecutive week and third time overall this season, Murray State's Sam Bedard has been named the ADIDAS OVC Setter of the Week.
Bedard helped lead the Racers to a 3-0 week this past weekend at the Winthrop Invitational. Bedard dished-out an OVC-best 13.2 assists per set in the three victories and posted 50 or more assists in two of the three matches.
Against Winthrop, Bedard recorded a season-best 55 assists and followed that performance up with 52 helpers in a 3-1 win over West Virginia. Bedard also averaged 2.36 digs per set, had two double-doubles and led MSU with six service aces.
Bedard and the Racers begin defense of their 2014 OVC crown this weekend as they open conference play on the road against Southeast Missouri, Friday night at 6:30 and Saturday against UT Martin at 6 p.m.
