The Murray State volleyball team suffered its first defeat of the season as the Racers fell at No. 7 Washington Friday evening in Seattle, 3-0. Set scores went 25-18, 25-8 and 25-11.
Kristen Besselsen led the Racers (3-1) with 11 kills in the loss, while Alyssa Lelm added four. Sam Bedard picked up her second double-double of the season as she registered 20 assists and a team-best 10 digs in the match. Besselsen added nine, while Scottie Ingram had eight digs.

The Racers finish up their weekend in the northwest with a match against Buffalo Saturday at 4 p.m. Murray time. The Bulls were defeated in three sets earlier Friday by Washington.
