Racers Open Season with a Win

The Murray State women's tennis team opened the spring season with a win as they defeated Evansville 7-0.
The Racers started the day in winning form. Partners Erin Patton/Haily Morgan and Alina Schibol/Jeanne Masson were victorious in their matches earning the Racers the doubles point.
Megan Blue led the Racers in the one position as she defeated 6-2, 6-0. Freshman Amina Hadzic had a impressive performance defeating Andjela Brguljan 6-1, 6-3.
Head coach Jorge Caetano was impressed with his team's performance. "It is always great to start the season with a win, especially against such a competitive team as University of Evansville," said Caetano. "I am very happy for the newcomers to get their first win in a dual match as a Racer and can't wait to see what the rest of the season is going to bring us."
The Racers have a quick turn-around as they face Olivet Nazarene on Saturday at Kenlake State Park. Match time is set for noon.
