Lorenz and Stultz Take Home Weekly Honors

Murray State libero Ellie Lorenz and setter Hannah Stultz both earned their fourth ADIDAS OVC Player of the Week honors of the season on Monday as it was announced that Lorenz was named the Defensive Player of the Week and Stultz earned Setter of the Week honors.
Lorenz recorded a match-high in digs in both of the Racers' wins last week over Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville. Lorenz opened the weekend with 21 against the Panthers and then followed that up with a 29-dig performance against SIUE.
Stultz meanwhile, tallied a pair of 50-plus assist outings as she helped the Racers hit .234 as a team in the two victories. Stultz dished out 58 assists to go along with seven digs and a match-high four service aces against EIU. The following night, she recorded a double-double versus the Cougars with 55 assists and 13 digs.
Lorenz, Stultz and the rest of the Racers begin OVC Tournament play Thursday as the top-seeded Racers host the No. 8 seed Jacksonville State at 7 p.m., at Racer Arena.
