Ingram Named Honorable Mention All-Midwest Region

Three-time OVC Player of the Year and OVC Tournament MVP, Scottie Ingram, continued her string of postseason accolades on Tuesday as she was named to the AVCA All-Midwest Region Honorable Mention Team as announced by the AVCA.
Ingram becomes just the fourth Racer in program history to be named all-region and the first since Katie Kemezys and Heather Norris were honored back in 2006. She also becomes the first student-athlete from the OVC to receive the honor since 2013.
This season, Ingram led the OVC with 4.38 kills per set and her 530 kills total are the 14th-most in the country. Ingram, who became just the second student-athlete in conference history to receive three consecutive player of the year honors, also averaged 3.43 digs per set and notched 24 double-doubles this season.
Ingram reached double-digit kills in all but two matches this season and had 10 matches with 20 or more kills. Her 530 kills in 2016 are the fourth-most for a single season in program history and Ingram finishes her career as MSU's all-time leader in career kills with 1,598.
Ingram saved one of her best performances in a Racer uniform for her career finale as she recorded a match-high 24 kills and hit .339 in MSU's four-set loss to No. 10 UCLA last week in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
