Murray State looks to use its win at Memphis Wednesday as momentum when Eastern Illinois comes to town for a three-game OVC series this weekend. Both Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game will be broadcast for free on the OVCDigitalNetwork.com. Game time both days is set for 1 p.m.

The Racers powered their way past Memphis Tuesday, 6-3, by going for extra bases in four of their seven hits. MSU came up with a double from Cayla Levins, triples from Brenna Finck and Jocelynn Rodgers and a home run from Rodgers as well. The trio also notched two hits each in the contest, while Finck was officially perfect on the day at 2-for-2 to go along with a walk.
Murray State also got use out of its pinch hitters in the game, as Madison Culver laid down a perfect bunt to score a runner on a squeeze in the fifth, while Julia Liceaga singled down the right field line for an RBI in the seventh. Mason Robinson went the distance for the Racers in the circle, allowing three runs on seven hits with three walks and two strikeouts.

All-Time vs. Eastern Illinois
The Panthers took the first two games of last year's series in Charleston, but the Racers won the finale and last season's OVC tournament opener to cut EIU's lead in the series to seven games at 14-7. Murray State has won just one of six contests against Eastern Illinois in Murray, getting swept in 2011 and going 1-2 in the last home series in 2014. In the lone home win, the Racers picked up the win in dramatic fashion by overcoming a three-run deficit in the bottom of the seventh and walking off thanks to a grand slam from Jocelynn Rodgers.
Scouting The Panthers
The Panthers dropped a pair of doubleheaders to Jacksonville State and Tennessee Tech last weekend and will enter Saturday's games at 9-21 overall and 3-4 in OVC play. Katie Watson currently leads the EIU offense with a .291 average, while April Markowski follows at .277. As a team, the Panthers are batting .216 overall and .246 in OVC contests.
In the circle, EIU currently sports a staff ERA of 4.94, while opponents are hitting .299 against them in all games and .295 in conference games. Jessica Wireman has served as the Panther's ace this season and is 7-15 with a 4.11 ERA, a .262 opponent's average, 98 strikeouts and 64 walks.
Weather Forecast
Saturday and Sunday will be sunny with highs in the high-50's to low-60's and a less that 10 percent chance of precipitation all weekend. Wind will be stronger on Saturday at 12 m.p.h. with gusts of up to 21, than on Sunday when it will be just 6 m.p.h. winds with gusts up to 10.
A Triple Double
For just the fifth time in program history, Murray State recorded multiple triples in a single game. The Racers have now accomplished this feat five times; hitting three twice and two thrice.
The Triple Crown
With her triple at Morehead State Saturday, Shlebey Miller took over as the program's lone all-time record holder in category with eight. She entered this season tied with former Racer Alexa Becker for the lead.
Honor Among Thieves
Jessica Twaddle will enter the weekend tied for the OVC lead in stolen bases with EKU's Kayla Joyce at 0.48 per game with 13 in 29 games.
Career Moves
Currently, Shelbey Miller is ranked in two categories among current career leaders in DI softball. She is ranked in 19th in at bats with 619 and 20th in doubles with 45.
