MSU Head Coach Jeremy Groves saw encouraging signs as the Racers return home and prepare for Sunday's Ohio Valley Conference opener against Morehead State.
Â
"It was a tough way to lose." Groves said. "I'm really proud of our effort and the way we defended and battled tonight. The girls showed a lot of toughness and grit and there were spells in this game when we played some great stuff going forward. I'm extremely encouraged by what I watched tonight and am really looking forward to Sunday's home conference opener. We have played an extremely hard schedule thus far- I wanted to push my kids to new heights and they are now starting to reach my expectations. I'm proud of how far this group has come since the Kentucky game."
