Records Are Meant To Be Broken
Setting new records for game winning goals, career goals, and career point, you'd think there isn't too left for Withers to break. She is now just one goal away from tying the single season record of 13 goals set in 2004.
We Run This Conference
You have to look back to the tail end of 2014, the first season under coach Groves, that the Racers lost a regular season OVC Game. That was on October 26 against the Bruins of Belmont, where the Racers fell 2-0. Since then, Murray State has gone on a 27-game and counting conference unbeaten streak
Don't Give Them An Inch
Since letting up three goals to Little Rock on September 8, the Racers have only allowed three goals since. Allowing just one a game to Saint Louis, UT Martin and EKU.
Perfect With Extra Time
Murray has played four games that went to overtime, in those four games they are 2-0-2. They've won against Little Rock and Morehead State and tied Tennessee Tech and Eastern Kentucky.
No Place Like Home
Three of the final four games for the Racers will be played at Cutchin Field to finish out the regular season
Know Thy Foe
The Governors of Austin Peay come to Cutchin Field for the Heritage Bank Battle of the Border. Austin Peay is coming off a 2-1 loss to Tennessee Tech on October 1 and a 1-1 double overtime tie against Southeast Missouri on October 6. They are lead offensively by Kristin Robertson, who had 10 goals on the year. In total, the Governors have scored 25 goals, let up 19 and stand 7-5-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the OVC.
Last Time They Met
The Racers and Governors battled to a scoreless tie to end the regular season last year.
All Time Record
Murray controls an 11-4-2 record against Austin Peay since first playing the Governors in 2002. The Racers haven't lost to Austin Peay since 2011, going 4-0-1 in the process. The four losses the Racers have taken from the Governors have come in groups of two. Losing in 2004 and 2005 and then 2010 and 2011.
Who's Next
The Belmont Bruins are next up, as the Racers travel to Nashville for the final road game of the regular season.
