James Earns Third OVC Player of the Week Honor

Murray State's Ke'Shunan James was named the ADIDAS OVC Women's Basketball Player of the Week Tuesday morning announced by the league office for her performance in the Racers' two victories last week against Eastern Kentucky and Austin Peay.
It is the third time this season that James has been named the conference's player of the week and seventh honor of her career. James led MSU with a pair of 20-plus point outings last week as she averaged 24.5 points, eight rebounds and three steals per game while shooting 63 percent from the floor.
James recorded 21 points, eight boards and a season-high five steals in the win over Eastern Kentucky. James went 8-for-13 shooting in the 70-64 win over the Colonels. She then followed that up with a 28-point, eight-rebound performance in a 67-62 win over APSU. James played all 40 minutes in the victory and was 9-of-14 shooting and a perfect 10-of-10 at the free-throw line.
James, who is averaging a league-leading 19.9 points per game this season, has scored 20 points or more in three consecutive contests and has 14 20-point games so far this season.
The Racers and James return to action Wednesday as they travel to Charleston, Ill., for a 6 p.m., contest with Eastern Illinois.
