Ke'Shunan James Named First Team All-OVC

For the second year in a row, Murray State's Ke'Shunan James has been named First Team All-OVC as voted on by the league's coaches and SIDs and announced Tuesday by the league office.
James led the league in scoring in 2016-17, averaging 20.5 points per game. James scored in double figures in all but one game this season and had 17 games where she scored 20 or more. James currently ranks 17th in the nation in scoring average and also averaged 21.6 points per contest during league play.
James was no one-trick pony this year as she also led the OVC in steals per game with 2.6 per contest, while also ranking fifth in the conference in rebounding (7.3 per game) and ninth in assists (3.8). James' 48.1 percent field goal percentage was 10th-best in the league and her 34.8 minutes played per game were the third most.
James finished the season with 594 points, which is the fifth-highest single-season mark in program history. While her 20.5 scoring average this year was the seventh-best mark in school history. James was also named the OVC's Player of the Week four times this season.
