Schwepker Adds One More to 2017 Class

Murray State head volleyball coach David Schwepker has added another addition to his 2017 class as Ashley McBee will join the Racers beginning in the fall.
McBee is an outside hitter and setter from Brevard, N.C. While at Brevard High, McBee was the first Blue Devil ever to record 1,000 kills, 1,000 digs and 1,000 assists throughout her career. She was named to both the all-area and all-conference teams in 2014-17, was named her team's MVP following the 2015-16 season and was named the top All-Around Player following her senior year.
"We are extremely happy to have added Ashley to our program," said Schwepker.
"She is definitely the type of player that we look for to help keep our program in great shape. Ashley can do it all as she was a setter, hitter and awesome defensive player in high school and club. She is exceptionally athletic and will be able to fit into Division 1 volleyball perfectly. I am looking forward to seeing how far she can take her outstanding abilities in the Racer program."
In addition to playing volleyball, McBee was also a decorated basketball player and was active in her school, serving on both the student council and on Spirit Club. McBee joins five others in the 2017 class for MSU Volleyball.
