Racers Earn AVCA Team Academic Award

The Murray State volleyball team received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year, announced Monday by the AVCA.
The Racers had a cumulative team GPA of 3.6 during the school year. The award, which began in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 team GPA.
The 2017 edition of the Racers kick off their season August 25 and 26 at the Samford Invite.
