Ingram Selected as OVC Rep For NCAA Woman of the Year Award

Former Murray State volleyball student-athlete Scottie Ingram is one of two nominees selected from the Ohio Valley Conference for the 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
The NCAA Woman of the Year award honors graduating female student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership.
Going forward, the selection committee will choose the top 10 honorees in each division. From those 30 candidates, the committee will determine the top three in each division. The Committee on Women's Athletics will select the 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year and the winner will be announced at a ceremony Oct. 22 in Indianapolis.
Ingram was a three-time OVC Player of the Year at MSU and helped lead the Racers to three consecutive OVC championships and a pair of trips to the NCAA Tournament. Ingram is the all-time career kills leader in program history with 1,598 and is ninth all time with 1,448 career digs. Last November, Ingram became the first Racer in program history to have her number retired.
