Volleyball Selected Fourth in Preseason Poll

The three-time defending OVC champion Murray State volleyball team was picked to finish fourth in the 2017 Preseason OVC Poll as voted on by the league's coaches and Sports Information Directors.
The Racers, who garnered six first-place votes in the poll, received a total of 188 points. Belmont was tabbed as the preseason favorite as they received 223 points and 10 first-place votes while Austin Peay (214 points) and SIU Edwardsville (199 Points) was picked second and third, respectively.
MSU finished fall camp Monday and will kick off the 2017 campaign August 25 at the Samford Invite. The Racers will play Ohio and Southeastern Louisiana on the 25th at 10 a.m., and 4:30 p.m., before finishing the tournament on the 26th against host-Samford at 3:30 p.m.
