With pump-up videos, cheers, dunks, 3-pointers and flames shooting from the backboards, the 2018-19 season for the Murray State Basketball teams was officially started Thursday with a great night for the fans at Racer Mania, presented by The Murray Bank, at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky.

This annual event is a fan favorite as the Racers' two teams prepare to launch the season.

Both Murray State teams have been working out over the summer and since the semester started in August and are just about ready for games. The Racer women has an exhibition game at the CFSB Center (Nov. 1) against Lindsey-Wilson and open the season at home (Nov. 7) against Evansville. The Racer men team faces Brescia (Nov. 5) in an exhibition before hosting Wright State (Nov. 10) in the season opener.
