Final Fall Event Takes Racers To Cardinal Cup

The Murray State women's golf squad begins play in their final event of the fall portion of the 2018-19 season Saturday at the Cardinal Cup at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky.

The Racers will be in the top field of teams in the event that sees 36 holes of play Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Saturday's play has the Racers paired with Richmond and Ball State.

The Murray State lineup includes Linette Holmslykke and Sarah McDowell, who placed one-two last week in Louisiana with the freshman McDowell winning medalist honors for the first time. Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austria, Jane Watts and Raeysha Surendran make up the MSU starting five.

The Racers have enjoyed a good fall campaign with recent back-to-back wins and a second and third place finish.

Anna Moore will play the event as an individual for the Racers.
