Racers Open Day One Of Fall MSU Invitational

Murray state women's tennis hosted their fall weekend competition Friday and Saturday (Oct. 5-6) at Bennie Purcell Courts in Murray, Kentucky.

Murray State opened play Friday at 1 p.m., as the Racers took on opponents from Belmont, Cumberland and North Alabama.

The Racers and company look to continue the action in an early start Saturday, as competition begins at 9:30 a.m. at Bennie Purcell Courts.

"This is a great thing to host a fall tournament in our home courts and our team is very excited about," said MSU coach Jorge Caetano. "We're looking forward to the competition and it will be against some very good teams. Belmont is one of the top teams in the OVC and Cumberland is a Top-20 NAIA team and UNA is a Top NCAA D-II team and are making the transition to NCAA D-I, so we are expecting a lot of great play."
