Racers Compete in Austin Peay 5k

The Murray State men's cross country team competed in the Austin Peay Invitational 5000-meter race in Clarksville, Tenn., on Friday.
"It was fun to see the guys get some time on the track. Vince and Zach highlighted the men's 5k for us both running under 16 minutes. They are putting a lot of work in getting ready for cross country season next year. This shows they are on the right track," said head coach Adam Kiesler after the race.
Vince Turner led the way for the Racers, placing third with a time of 15:51.97 in the 5000-meter run.
Zach Balleau was close behind Turner, finishing fourth with a time of 15:54.52. Finishing 22nd last season in the same event, Balleau set a new PR with his time of 15:54.52. Â
Meyer Makemson finished ninth with a final time of 16:22.42.
Caleb Kawasaki placed 16th with a time of 16:51.62 while Tyler Bradley finished 23rd.
