Racers And Governors Set To Meet In OVC Semifinals

Murray State's women's team will face the Austin Peay Governors one more time this season, as the Racers and Govs face of in the Ohio Valley Conference tennis semifinals Saturday.
The Governors played UT Martin earlier Friday and won 4-1 over the Skyhawks. After dropping the doubles point to go down 1-0, Austin Peay won four straight singles matches to advance.
The Racers come into this match as the number two seed with a 14-7 overall record while going 8-1 in conference play.
Finding their groove with a pair of wins over Belmont and Tennessee State early in March, the Racers caught fire and never looked back, winning 10 games in a row before losing to Eastern Kentucky in the last match of the regular season.
Murray State and Austin Peay met last on April 10 where the Racers won 5-2 in Clarksville, Tenn. With the match tied 1-1, the Racers  rallied to win three-straight singles matches to clinch the win over the Governors.
Murray State and Austin Peay are set to play at 2 pm on Saturday, April 21 at the Centennial Sportsplex Tennis Center in Nashville, Tenn.
