The Murray State men's cross country team traveled to Nashville to run in the Commodore Classic, Saturday morning.
In a field of 139 runners among 14 teams, senior Vince Turner was the top finisher for the Racers as he placed 48th with a time of 26:30.0.Â
Junior Zach Balleau and sophomore Meyer Makemson finished second and third for the Racers, while junior Zan McClelland was the team's fourth finisher and freshman Christian Slone finished in a scoring position for the first time in his young career, as he finished fifth for MSU.
The field featured teams from the SEC, Big Ten, and the ACC, but it was OVC rival Eastern Kentucky who took the team title.
The Racers are back in action, September 29, when they will run in the Greater Louisville Classic.
