Racers Can’t Hold On To Late Lead In Loss TSU

The Murray State women's basketball team allowed Tennessee State to lead just 1:43 of Saturday night's OVC matchup at the CFSB Center, but it was the Lady Tigers' second lead of the game that lasted just 53 seconds proved to be all the needed, as Murray State fell, 65-61.
The Racers led by five to start the fourth quarter and though TSU whittled the advantage down to one with 5:15 left, Murray State was able to inflate the lead back up to five with 2:07 remaining. However, the Lady Tigers went on to outscore the Racers 10-1 from that point to walk away from The Bank with the win.
Macey Turley led Murray State with 20 points on the night, while Evelyn Adebayo picked up her 12th double-double of the season with 16 points and a career-best 18 rebounds. Cebria Outlow came off the bench for Tennessee State to lead all scorers with 31 points.
Murray State will not hit the road for two games next week, taking on Jacksonville State Thursday, followed by Tennessee Tech Saturday.
