The Game
After a season-opening, four-game road trip, the Murray State women's basketball team will play at the CFSB Center for the first time 2019-20 when it host Christian Brothers at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
Last Time Out
The Murray State women's basketball team split the middle games of its four-game season opening road trip last week taking down Mississippi Valley, 72-66, before falling to No. 8 Mississippi State, 124-43. On Wednesday, the Racers battled from start to finish in order to pick up a hard-fought win against Mississippi Valley. Laci Hawthorne led the way with 18 points and 12 boards, while Macey Turley had 18 points, seven assists and two rebounds. On Friday, however, Mississippi State proved why they are one of the nation's elite teams in a decisive victory of the Racers. Laci Hawthorne led Murray State with seven, while Macey Turley and Macie Gibson has six.
Scouting The Buccaneers
Lipscomb is currently 1-2 on the season after picking up their first win of the year Friday against northern Kentucky, 71-69. Casey Collier came off the bench to lead the Bisons with 17 points and is currently their leading scorer on the year as well with 12.3 per game. Collier also leads the team in rebounds with 5.7 per game, despite not starting any of Lipscomb's three contests. The Bisons are currently averaging 64.7 points per game on 39.3-percent shooting, while opponents are averaging 72.0 points per game on 39.0-percent.

Macie Gibson notched the first double-double of her career Tuesday when she tallied 19 points and 10 rebounds at Lipscomb.

Macey Turley, Macie Gibson and Lex Mayes each scored in double-digits Tuesday with Turley leading the way with 20, while Gibson had 19 and Mayes had 13.
First Accolade
Lexi Hawthorne as named as OVC Newcomer of the Week Tuesday by averaging 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds over two games last week. It was the first weekly conference honor by a Racer this season.
