It's an Ohio Valley Conference first place clash when the Murray State Racers (19-4, 10-2 OVC) take on the Austin Peay Governors (18-7, 10-2 OVC) Thursday at the Dunn Center in Clarksville, Tennessee. The Racers and Govs share first place with the Belmont Bruins who are on the road Thursday at Tennessee State.

Froggy 103 (WFGS 103.7 FM) airs every MSU game with "Voice of the Racers" Neal Bradley calling the action in his 28th season. Former MSU assistant coach Kenny Roth provides commentary. Froggy103.com and GoRacers.com has free online streaming audio. ESPN2 has live television coverage of the game with Tom Hart, Seth Greenberg and Brooke Weisbrod on the call. The Racers and Govs are meeting for the 126th time and the game is now part of the Heritage Bank Battle of the Border in which the great rivalry has a points system that is watched throughout the school year. After football, soccer, volleyball and cross country, the Racers lead 12-6.
The Racers have won their last three with impressive come-from-behind wins. MSU trailed by five points with three minutes remaining at Tennessee Tech and came back to get a 67-63 win (Feb. 2). They hosted Eastern Illinois and erased a seven-point deficit with nine minutes to go for an 86-75 win (Feb. 7) and were down by six coming out of half-time (Feb. 9) with SIUE but hit the Cougars with a 19-0 run to start the second half and ended up outscoring SIUE 54-17 in the second half for an 86-55 win. The Racers lead the OVC with a scoring margin of +15.5 in league games.
The Racers are coming off a week in which all-star Ja Morant posted his 17th game of 20-point scoring with 20 points and six assists against, while Darnell Cowart had his second consecutive double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.Â
Morant continues his run to become the first NCAA D-I player since 1985 to average 20 points and 10 assists in a single season as he enters the week with averages of 23.9 points and assists. Morant is 45 points from 1,000 and he's 20 assists from the OVC single-season record of 255 by Duane Washington of Middle Tennessee (1986-87). Morant has already passed the MSU single-season record of 212 by Chad Towsend in 1996-97.Â
The Racers have won the last three and 12-of-14 since 2011.
