Racers Earn Academic Honors From USTFCCCA

The Murray State men's and women's cross country teams were honored as part of the 2018 NCAA Division I All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

"We are extremely happy to be honored as Academic All-American teams for both the men and women," said head coach Adam Kiesler. "The effort they put into the classroom shows with both the men and women having over a 3.30 GPA. "

Only teams that have a 3.0 GPA or higher can make the national list.

The Racers are part of a group of 10 schools from the Ohio Valley Conference to be honored, with nine of the 10 being honored for both men and women

Overall, there were 427 teams that earned distinction from the USTFCCCA for their efforts both athletically and academically.
