The Murray State women's basketball played a strong first half Thursday night at Johnson Arena in Morehead, Kentucky, but a red-hot Morehead State team shot 55-percent in the second half en route to an 80-71 win.
The Racers shot an impressive 41-percent from the floor and went 11-for-12 at the free throw line, but committed more turnovers than the Eagles and were out rebounded by eight. Murray State did cut the lead to five with 2:27 to play but would finish the half at 0-for-7 from the floor, virtually sealing the win for the Eagles.
