Murray State's Austin Knight came home with the top finish for the Racer men's golf squad with a spot in 25^th place at the UNA Spring Classic at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club in Killen, Alabama.

Knight, who entered the event third on the Ohio Valley Conference list of best scoring averages, improved his standing 13 spots after a final round 74. Knight previously carded scores of 73-76 and finished with a 223 total for a spot in 25^th place. Gabe Wheeler placed 35^th on rounds of 76-76-73=225, while Connor Coombs was 46^th on scores of 74-75-79=228. Avery Edwards had scores of 75-77-79=231 for a spot in 56^th place and Dalton Bagwell placed 63^rd on scores of 73-76-86=235.

James Boone began the day in fourth place as he competed as an individual. However, he fell off the pace with a final round 83 and dropped to 31^st place. Boone carded scores of 71-70-83=224. He placed fifth among the 16 solo players in the field.

The Racers posted scores of 295-303-305=903 and placed 12^th. Host North Alabama was the winner at 862.

North Alabama's Aaron Jackson was the medalist of the event on scores of 69-67-72=208.

Turtle Point played to a par of 72 and a length of 7,133 yards.

The Racers get back on the course (March 28-31) in Boca Raton, Florida, when they compete at the FAU Slomin Autism Championship at Osprey Point Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida.
