Racers Set to Host North Alabama in Return to Racer Field

Murray State softball will return home to host the Lions of North Alabama in a non-conference matchup at Racer Field on Tuesday afternoon. The Racers, who will play in Murray, Kentucky for the first time since sweeping Tennessee Tech on April 6th, will look to end a three-game skid in front of their home crowd at 4:00 p.m.
Last Time Out:
The Racers dropped both games in a doubleheader against Jacksonville State on the road in Jacksonville, Alabama on Friday. The defeats marked the first time in 2019 that Murray State would come up short in both sides of a conference doubleheader. With defeats of 2-0 and 9-4, the Racers managed just five hits over the two games on the weekend.
Individually, Lillie Goetz turned in a 2-4 performance in game two that featured a triple and a pair of RBI. Additionally, Brenna Finck, who singled in game one of the afternoon, became just the fourth player in program history to join the 200-hit club for Murray State.
