Murray State women's soccer gets back to work on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Highland Heights, Kentucky for a non-conference match against Northern Kentucky. The Racers look to extend their winning streak to three games when they take on the Norse at 1:00 p.m. ET (12:00 p.m. central) at the NKU Soccer Complex to conclude the second week of regular season action.
Last Time Out:
The Racers enter Sunday's contest after earning a 2-1 victory over Big Ten opponent Indiana on Friday afternoon at Cutchin Field. Freshman Lilly Strader netted the first goal of her Murray State career, while Rebecca Kubin scored the game-winner in the 81st minute to secure the victory for the Racers. Freshman goalkeeper Jenna Villacres recorded eight saves on the day.

The Racers carry a 2-1 overall record to begin the 2019 campaign after defeating Indiana and Samford in their most recent contests. Senior Miyah Watford leads the Racers with six points on three goals, while Kubin sits at five points on two goals and an assist for the year.

The Norse have five different players who have scored a goal this season, while senior Ally Perkins leads her side with four shots on target through three competitions. NKU, who competes in the Horizon League, was picked to finish second in the conference according to the Horizon League preseason poll. Northern Kentucky comes off a 2018 season that saw them finish 10-6-1 with a 6-2-1 mark against conference opponents.
